"Long-time donor and friend of Biology, Dr. Katherine Reinleitner and her family have gone through some tough times recently. Last year, their property in Tonasket, WA was completely destroyed in wildfires. Katherine is the executive director of the Mindlin Foundation and has been funding Biology's annual Mindlin Lecture annually since 2006. To show our support for her and her family, current chair and former chairs, Toby Bradshaw, Tom Daniel, and Ray Huey purchased 50lbs of native wildflower and grass seeds to help restore a small patch of the fields that used to cover the land around their house."
